A traditional Vietnamese wedding is a simple but elegant affair. The main color is red, which is what the bride wears in the traditional Ao Dai. The following picture galleries were from the wedding of a friend of mine. The gallery is of the traditional wedding where the Grooms' party presents the Dowry to the Brides Maids. The dowry is just a formal gesture and ritual and is usually just simple gifts to the Brides parents.
After the Dowry is accepted the two families share a simple tea ceremony. Then the bride is brought to the grooms homes where she is presented to the Parents of the groom. Since my friend was from the US, they went to the Hotel they were staying at. In this ceremony, the bride changed from the traditional Ao Dai into a more western style gown as shown in the Western Style Ceremony set.
