Vietnam was a primarily a Buddhist country before the communist takeover in 1975. Although the Buddhist religion, along with others, was suppressed for many years, the government has become a little more tolerant of them.
In this set are pictures of a very small neighborhood Buddhist Temple located in Saigon's famed alley city. It was a very old temple and seemed to have survived the suppression efforts. On the altar is a statute of one of the old Kings that once ruled Vietnam.
